Prof. Dr. med. Süleyman Ergün, Director of the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology at Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg, was honored with the "Excellence Award for outstanding contributions to the Anatomische Gesellschaft" at the general assembly of the Anatomische Gesellschaft, during the 119th Annual Meeting / 35th Workshop. The award ceremony was held on September 25, 2025, in the small lecture hall of the Institute of Anatomy and Cell Biology by the President, Prof. Heike Kielstein and the members of the board, and was accompanied by standing ovations from all members of the society.
