The aim of the Anatomische Gesellschaft is the promotion of the anatomical sciences in their entirety. This is achieved by holding annual meetings, representing the subject of anatomy to the outside world, exchanging experience and further training in the subject of anatomy, promoting young scientists, establishing and deepening relations with disciplines associated with anatomy as well as with domestic and foreign professional societies, honoring persons who have rendered outstanding services to the development of anatomy (honorary membership), and honoring scientific work in the field of anatomy.
