Funding is available for participation in meetings, symposia, congresses and courses of the Anatomische Gesellschaft. Only candidates who actively participate in the meeting with a lecture or poster presentation will be supported.
Preference will be given to postdoctoral fellows in their first postdoctoral years or MD/Ph.D. students in their final years of study.
To be eligible for a scholarship, the applicant's responsible supervisor must have been a member of the Anatomische Gesellschaft for at least one year at the time of application submission.
If not a student, the applicant should be the author of at least one scientific publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
Applications can be made for a grant towards travel expenses and registration fees for the congress, but not towards membership fees and the costs of social events.
Awards can generally be applied for twice a year, with submission deadlines of May 1 (annual workshop) and November 1 (annual conference). Applications can only be submitted for conferences that will take place at least three months after submission of the application.
The application must be accompanied by a summary of the scientific contribution, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications and a separate letter of recommendation from the responsible supervisor.
A candidate may be supported more than once, but cumulative contributions to the Anatomische Gesellschaft are limited. Preference will be given to candidates applying for the first time.
Reimbursement will not be made until the successful candidate has submitted to the Anatomische Gesellschaft Secretariat the final accounts, including receipts and tickets, and confirmation of attendance at the meeting from the organizer.
Rejected applications will not be considered at a later date.
The decision to award travel grants is made by the Board of the Anatomische Gesellschaft and is based on the scientific quality, the fundamental need of the applicant and the financial situation of the Society.
