Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kummer, former President of the Anatomische Gesellschaft, was awarded the Medal of Honour for outstanding services to the Faculty of Medicine at Justus Liebig University Giessen at an academic ceremony on 27 June 2024. The laudatory speech was given by Prof. Dr. Peter König from the University of Lübeck. Prof. Kummer was appointed Professor of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the Faculty of Medicine in 1994. The Faculty of Medicine honored him for his outstanding achievements as a scientist, academic teacher and doctor.
